How DOORS actually works
Co-op horror escape through numbered doors while learning each entity's tell and counter.
Doors is a horror game where you progress through numbered rooms in the Hotel (and beyond), surviving entities that each have a specific behavior and counter. Knowing the tells — when to hide in a closet, when to keep moving, when to stop and stare — is the entire skill, since panic gets you caught. Items like lockpicks, lighters, and vitamins smooth out runs, and exploring for them is worth the risk. Rewards here are mostly knowledge and Knobs for the shop rather than power.
Do this first
- Learn each entity's cue (Rush vs Ambush rush sounds, when to hide from Eyes/Seek).
- Pre-spot closets and hiding spots as you enter a new room.
- Loot drawers and side rooms for items between safe doors.
- Spend Knobs on starting items that match how your group plays.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Hiding from entities that don't require hiding (and getting caught while idle).
- Rushing ahead of the group and triggering events nobody is ready for.
Demand Metrics
Primary trade driver
Run convenience
DOORS value is strongest when a reward or cosmetic improves multiplayer run comfort, revive planning, or party readability instead of only looking rare.
Risk signal
Floor update spikes
New floors and entities can reprice cosmetics and convenience items overnight until players learn the real route value.
Best use
Run planning
Use this page before spending Robux or code rewards on a cosmetic that does not help your usual floor route.
Player demand
Medium
Player demand is a context signal for DOORS, not a live item price. Confirm current item demand and the full offer in game before trading.
DOORS trade checklist
Use these manual review notes before accepting a trade. The demand score gives broad game context, while the checklist catches bundle pressure, update timing, and low-liquidity filler. Neither is a live item-price quote.
Check whether a reward helps death recovery or party play, not only looks.
Do not overpay for cosmetics during the first week of a floor update.
Use codes when you are about to start a full run with friends.
Treat limiteds as volatile until supply settles.
Recheck demand after major floor, entity, or shop updates.
What the DOORS demand snapshot means
This is a demand snapshot — a popularity and engagement signal blended from DOORS's live players, visits, favorites, and like ratio. A higher score means more current player attention, which usually tracks with healthier in-game trading. It is not a live, per-item trade price: item values are set by the DOORS community in real time, so treat this as context for how active the game is right now, then confirm specific trades in-game.
